- 3.8L VS Commodore
ITEM: 1997 (VS) Holden Commodore Esteem
LOCATION: North east Brisbane, < 15k from city
YEAR: 1997
SERIES: VSII
BADGE: Esteem (power windows, etc)
ENGINE: Standard ecotec 3.8L - 145,000k's - has had some parts taken from it, but started up first go everytime before that and ran fine. As stated, was always looked after meticulously while it was on the road. Would be a good engine for any parts. Has been off the road for a while now but most should still be salvageable. Engine is NOT seized.
TRANSMISSION: Standard auto
COLOUR: Standard green
EXTERIOR CONDITION: Had a crash a while ago, was going to fix it but have moved on. The crash only effected the front and was quite small, but big enough to see it taken off the road for good. Until removing some engine parts, it started up and drove perfectly fine. Only 145,000k's and was owned by my a family member it's whole life.
INTERIOR CONDITION: Not too bad. Crash didn't effect the interior and there's a lot to be salvaged. Seats, dash, steering wheel etc still in good condition. No cracks or rips, etc.
TYRE CONDITION: 80% front, 50% (?) back (newer tyres on front, older tyres on back)
TYRE SIZE INCLUDING LOAD RATING: 245(?)/35R20 FRONT, and 245(?)/30R20 BACK
ODOMETER: approx 145,000k from memory, will check and update later
SERVICE HISTORY: Owned by a family member it's whole life, then passed on to me. Fully serviced it's whole life. Great car for parts. I have used the alternator from this car on another car and it hasn't missed a beat. Solid.
REGO OF CAR: Not registered.
PRICE:
Willing to sell in bits or the whole car.
Parts - name your part and make an offer, keeping in mind they're mostly in pretty good shape. I have some prices in mind but it's a whole car so I wont list everything.
Before I owned it, the car had a significant amount of money (few thousand I'm pretty sure) spent on making it handle well, new suspension barely driven on in the front, lowered springs (king, I think) all round.
Whole car - I'd be willing to let it go as is for $1400.00 ono, obviously including the wheels and everything. Happy to hear any offer but that's the figure I'm after. The parts would net more than that if sold individually.
If you want the wheels on their own - $700 or if you can supply a set of stockos too, I'd take $600. The rims were scratched up by another driver, but they'll clean up fairly easy. Can supply more detailed photos if you like. Were expensive brand new.
Someone was recently going to purchase them for $800 but I was going to keep them for my other VS. I'm now getting a new car altogether, so it's all got to go.
DELIVERY/PICK UP INFORMATION:
If you want to take the whole car or any parts, I may be able to organise to drop it/them off at your cost (be it tilt truck or driving a part to you if you live local), otherwise, everything is pick up. Pick up is preferred as I'm super busy.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Cash.
CONTACT DETAILS: PM me, or email [email protected] - I'll probably be able to answer email faster, but either is fine.
PICTURES:
PHOTOS NOTE - The engine bay has always been covered since the accident, the paint is in decent enough nick, just dirty. Also, the rear right hand side tail light is broken because I took the good one from this car and replaced it with the broken one form another car so it didn't fill up with water.
