2000 VS III V6 ute
I get 500+ out of tank in my Ute, mainly Hwy work but.
And If it comes down to a Holden Commodore 2000 VS S V6 series 3 ute verses a Subaru Mmmmmm let me think "no contest". Its what you personally want some things cost more but, think of the enjoyment etc.

Subaru's are far from economical, my old man had one and the best he got out of it on the hwy was around 12/100km. My VT CALAIS Ecoslug gets better than that. And yes he drives like a grandpa, he's 78.

My dad's mate has a Subaru Liberty, says the fuel economy is shocking for the engine size.

Correct

Subies are surprisingly gas guzzlers. It's really surprising.

Yeah apparently the SV6 is bad for fuel economy but come the hell on. I have been driving around so nicely lately seeing if I can drop it an it want his my driving but it insists on a minim 14.5L.
