i put a post up a few days ago. i have the same problem.
one guy told me the first half of the tank last longer then the second. i thought he was kidding but he was right!
i used to put half a tank in and it would last me 3 days max, i filled it up to 3/4 full on wednesday and i still have half a tank left and i havent done any different driving. mine sits on 10-11.5L/100kms
so the first half of the tank is obviosly bigger then the second half!

I'm getting late 9's to late 10's/100km, 69000km on clock, mix of motorway/urban driving. No hard acceleration and gentle braking. Quite the granny.

Wife has a 2010 II SV6, does a fair bit of freeway busy driving (would have to check average speed), went to fill up last week and the read out had 11.1L, but i think with a little top up the wife did with fuel, I calculated it as 13.3L - hopefully Im wrong, coz thats s$%thouse, I would have bought a V8 if I knew it returned numbers like that. My VS grange gets better fuel mileage than 13.3L.

average speed is key to all these comparisons and driving style. i can manage 10.5 in mine with the average speed of 50km/h which i think is fantastic. In my area as it is fairly built up there is a massive difference between vehicles of different engine sizes

2011 SV6 Sedan
2011 Series 2 SV6 Manual Sedan with 4400kms on it avg speed 55 - 59km/h - 9.8 - 10.1

Been getting that since new as well, and yes the ratio of highway / city would be 60 / 40

2016 MY16 SV6, 2 x Triumph 2500 (1970/77), manuals
Series II Manual SV6

I have had an MY09 SV6 manual sedan (for 30 months, 75,000 km) and now a Series II MY11 for two months and approaching 6,000 km.

Once run in, the MY09 generally returned between 10.5 and 11.0 L/100Km around town (average speed between 40 and 50 Km/hr), and around 8.0 on a trip averaging around 90 Km/hr. In that vehicle, the trip computer was optimistic on fuel consumption by about 3%.

I have yet to take the Series II on a trip yet, but the trip computer is showing 11.5 L.100Km at an average speed of about 40 (over that last 3,000 km). However, actual calculations show the real figure at 11.0. When run, in I would expect about 10.5 around town, and am hoping for better than 8.0 on the highway.

I could see a figure of around 13L/100Km if driving was only in peak hour inner city traffic. Otherwise I would expect much better.
