Fuel consumption on sv6

My stock 2010 SIDI Auto SV6 Ute does between 11.9 and 12.5L for normal driving, bit less if I drive conservatively and freeway driving is under 10 easily

Just did a round trip from Sydney>Coffs>Brisbane>Sydney with minimal round town use of the car during the trip

2011 SV6 3.6 auto sedan, 11,000k on the clock, two oil changes so far and has Castrol Edge 5w-30 in it.

Trip up, me only with minimal luggage, trip back, me only but around 200kgs of luggage between the back seat and boot.

Just shy of 2000kms all up, average speed 102kph, a/c on for approx 70% of the trip and cruise control for 95%.

The car averaged 8.18 litres/100 km (not from the dash display but real life fill up figures).

Pretty damn impressive I thought but I did baby it for most of the trip

Av speed 57kmph 8.9l per 100kms
780kms and its just come up with the fuel light
I average 800+ kms out of a full tank only ever drive it with the petrol light on straight to the servo.

Brought the K&N kit from USA ebay. Here the url eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d Its way cheaper to get from the usa, but takes a month of waiting to arrive my bloody door. If order from around aussie, over $500 price mark.

That item is for Pontiac g8 but its the same as the VE V6 , can order for v8 as well same price. ( Pontiac G8 GT )

had a look at that link, but it only goes up to 2009, probably just before the sidi, which i know need a maf adapter or something over non SIDI cars

i just started a thread about my car doing the same thing ive got a 07 3.6L omega and its saying 17.2L per 100ks. Ive restet everything the last 3 tanks and im only getting just over 300ks to the tank everytime no matter how i drive i sit on about 60 to 70kmph on average

Went to Sydney for for cricket started with half a tank, filled up at Ballina, then in Sydney, then at Kempsey, had half a tank when I got back to Brisbane. Avg was 8.7l/100Km travelling at the speed limit down the coast road, but gunning it in the overtaking lanes. Only use standard fuel not E10 has 32k on the clock
