fuel consumption, whats yours?

ive got a vx v6 and i average about 18 around my suburban sydney area.

These are my averages: 10.2 suburbia driving, and 8.9 Freeway. The distance varies sorry - will take note of averages over set distances in future.

Normally get up to mid thirties off the lights - lol.

lol some of them are pretty damn high :s, i got a k&n panel and cai and 2 1/2 exhaust, dunno if that gives better economy, according to my trip computer, im currently using 10.9lt/100km, normally goes in mid 11 on the weekends. then again i dont own a vy, they may use more then the old buik ?

my 6 at the moment does about 12L/100km, thats suburban driving, not city traffic, just not flowing.

Freeway lowest ive hit was 7L/100km, suburban lowest was about 11 with fairly easy driving.

im not sure wot my average is but i get about 500kms to a tank city drivin and about 600/650kms highway drivin out of my vs v6 which has 65ltr tank (im pretty sure it is) and all it had is extractors and zaust.

With my V6 I can normally get it to sit in the 10's (suburban & city driving), under 10 if a do a bit more highway.

I've had it down to 7.9 for a tank once, but that was filling up on the highway and cruising thru the country trying to save fuel.

Worst was in the 12's when i didn't touch a freeway for a whole tank.

The v6 gets 10 to 11 around town and around 8 on the highway. I have heard that the v6 sucks fuel when it revs, so I try to keep the revs to not too much more than 2000rpm when I start off. Keeps with the Adelaide traffic and it seems to work.

Spot on, that's about where I'm sitting usually.

Open roads are a little different, in the Melbourne trip I managed 8.9 which I was over the moon, I didn't realise it went down that low :thumbsup:

I do very short trips 7km's to work and 7km's home so that would explain why it's so high along with some spirited traffic light action along the way.
