VR V8 Calais

Around 15L/100 KM - town, taking it easy.
Can just about watch the guage drop when giving it stick tho'.
Around 7.5 - 8L/100Km - highway.

My clubby around town gives me approx 15-17l/100kms while it relaxes back to a more suitable 9.5l/100kms on the open highway. My other half owns a VX1 S V6 and it does sooo much better at about 10-11l/100kms while it amazed us with 7.8l/100kms on a recent trip to QLD. 900kms from Melbourne to Gilgandra, 71 litres!!! Yes thats Melbourne to Gold Coast via Toowomba on less than 2 tanks. Needless to say she loves it better than her old Tarago!! Took the Clubby on the same trip, averaged 9.9l/100kms, which I almost expected. Best I had ever previously got out of any V6 was 58litres for Melbourne to Adelaide (730kms) in my old 97VT Exec.

well my comsumption is 19litres in town (towing my trailer and 12.2 on highway)

10.8L/100km around the city with all the road works. 10l/100km around the burbs and haven't taken it on a long run yet to give good country milage.

Mind you the company cars (XR8 /SS) I get 10's and 11's around town.

Just a light foot I suppose...

Re fuel consumption

Ok i took a little trip on saturday 628km to be precice, melbourne to albury an back, from my driveway an back the trip meter recorded an average of 7.41l/100km for the whole trip, Around town i seem to be getting 12-13l/100k, either I drive like an old woman or my car seems unusually efficient.:unsure:

Im toolin round in a VY II S pak Supercharged. basicly bog standard atm since I only brought it a few weeks ago.

My vy v6 auto gets 7.8-8ltrs on the highway, 12-14 in town and 14-18 towing a car trailer but i hold 3rd gear and hav the power mode on

Good dig mate. my new vy averages between 12 and 14L/100km town and had it as low as 8.6 on the highway with cruise on 115kmh

my old ecotec VY wagon auto did 12.5l/100km avg in normal driving. down to only 10.5-11l/100km on highway at 110.
my L76 vz 6 speed manual does 14l/100 avg down to 8.4l/100km on highway. I would be curious to see more up to date results.

Some nice dig there. My Ecotec gets 15L/100km normally 400km to a tank no matter how I drive, babying, cruising or gunning always the same

My VR with minimal mods gets 12/13l /100km/h on average, that's town/ highway driving.
On the highway it gets around 7-9L / 100km/h
