Christ almighty! In a V6? Are you running on cooper mud tyres with no air in them, up a hill, into a stiff headwind, through semi-dry concrete, towing a caravan full of anvils?

haha nah mate, actualy have removed the spare tyer, and pumped the main tires to 260 kpa

on the freeway she does 6.5L/100 doing a steady 100km/hr also averaging 100km/h. so the car should be fine, and its just me :p I guess its all about howmany stop/starts you do and how fast you accelerate.

Good point about the stop/starts. Trip distance makes a difference too. I've been doing a lot of short trips recently and fuel economy has increased noticeably.

Yes thats right. I look at alot of people claiming 500+ ks out of a tank with city driving. What is city driving??

For me city driving can take over an hour to travel 15ks. My average speed for a tank is well below 25kmh.

I think alot of people claim city driving, but its not really proper city driving.

It would be best if people posted an average speed with there fuel econemy figures!

Mate I couldn't agree with you more... I think city driving should be exatly what it says it is, CITY! Which is complete stop and start bumper to bumper traffic!

a few weeks ago i drove from canberra to batemans bay, up the coast to newcastle and back around to canberra, total trip was 1018km, filled car with 98 with the 75litre tank and i wanted to see how far i could push it, i drop till around 600km and filled up but didnt reset counter, continued to drive until i used all 75litres as computer was saying i had used, well total trip i could in theory get out of my car is 802km but i never let it get that low before refilling....normally use united petrol E10 95, but on this trip used caltex 98. Normal week of driving around town i would get around 550km. Average usage is around 11L/100km thats with me giving car a bit here and there.
