anyways brought a (cooper) brand fuel filter for the vt ls1 today, tryed to tell the guy that it was diffrent sizes guy wouldent listen ,anyways after trying to install the WRONG fuel filter i broke both clips (white clips) can i go to holden and just buy the white clips to replace the broken ones ? also if anyone is searching for a fuel filter the CORRECT one to go with is (RYCO Z586) and yes there is a diffrence between the 6cyl and the ls1 Search for oil, fuel or air filters by part number : Air Filters, Oil Filters and Fuel Filters :: Ryco Filters :: Automotive Filters Australia
had the exact same problem a few weeks ago, i bought a ryco filter which came with the two white clips which dont fit after i broke one side of the fuel line. fortunately it was the return line to the tank.
Just replaced the line that goes from filter to tank called gen 3 return line, not a hard job undo fuel cap three bolts on tank and drop it down! The line was $12 from holden
