i have a problem had 1/4 of a tank switched car off, next time switched on gauge moved up slightly just below empty line and got error message on dash "fuel gauge error contact retailer" i tried my little scanner which said can't connect to ECU, i've tried disconecting battery for a couple of hours with no change also unplugged BCM for 15 minutes with no change, a mechanic friend is putting his good scanner on it tomorrow and i have the battery disconnected over night
but wondering if anybody else may have had this problem and knows what the solution is
thanks

It can be a complex thing. I’d say the fuel sender has had a gutfull and packed it in.

Bigger issues could well be afoot.

Best thing os get a copy of the Holden manual and go through their engineered fault finding flow charts.
