This is probably the most common fault I've come across with holdens. Alot of people that I know who own a VS to VY have some sort of problem regarding thier fuel gauges. In my VT Calais, my fuel gauge doesnt give me an accurate reading, and sometimes fluctuates up to half a tank within the space of half an hour.
My dad has a VY SS Sedan and about 2 years after he baught it, the fuel gauge would show that he had a quarter of a tank left, and then run out of petrol. Took it to Holden and they said that for some reason it had the calibration of a VY Wagon?? 6 months after getting it "fixed", it happend again, took it back to holden and they "fixed" it again. Last saturday he ran out of petrol when the gauge was showing just over quarter of a tank. I'd say about half the people I know with VY's have had the same problem... Is it really that common? And what is it? Because the holden dealer/service center near my place have no clue (they're pretty hopeless)
