Just replaced the fuel pump relay on my 2011 Ve SV6 and was greeted with a contact dealer message, as well as check engine light. The check engine symbol has disappeared but the dealer error still persists. When i hooked up my scanner it read:

"PO463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High/Open"

When i cleared the codes the fuel gauge returned to normal, but after a couple kays of driving the error returned. The car also runs without issue. Any insight would be awesome. Thanks.

Fuel pump on its way out or wiring issue.

Got the same message today, fuel gauge went to very low warning, then nothing.
Restarted car and went into engineering mode. Fuel remaining was slowly increasing and then went to zero

Topped up tank with 30 litres and hasn’t happened yet since.

G'day Neighbour

How many K's ?

Most likely Fuel sender unit,

You have 2 options,
  1. Replac the gauge Sender unit,
  2. Replace the whole Tank unit. [Pump and Sender]

That later is the better option, since you have to remove the Tank unit,
Here is the Thread I did for the same thing.

Maybe take the Tank unit out, and check the resistance of the sender unit with a multi-meter,
Maybe just need cleaning.

Do you have an inspection port in under the back seat on the driver's side ?
If so, it's going to be a bit easier to check it.
