Fuel Gauge

I have VY SS V8 and the fuel gauge has gone bonkers ( help ) its reading all over the place it says the tank is empty when its full and vice versa. Could it be the fuel sender unit ???? Can somebody help me. If it is sender unit where can a person obtain one and how easy ( or hard ) is it to install.

Hey mate,

I'm having the same problem with my VY S on an occasional basis. Apparently (on a few posts on this website) there is an update you need from a Holden service centre because there was some sort of recall back in the day? I'm chasing up the issue too, regardless if you get onto your closest Holden Service Centre, they should be able to arrange an appointment for them to distinguish between: the update and the MRA unit. I think Holden are the only people who can perform the update.
