Gah! I thought $1.709 was going good out here in Hawkes Bay (Pak N Save, then another 6c/l off with a voucher). I don't know where the media are getting their figures from though, they've been saying 91 is $1.79, I haven't found it at the price anywhere.

What really sucks though is we're getting close to parity with the Aussie dollar yet their prices are so much lower again. Bloody fuel taxes.

Saw it at 1.579 this morning at Gull Takanini just of the motorway.

Diesel is around 90c a litre.

Regular north of Adelaide is currently at $1.08L. Makes me wish i was still driving the SS, oooh she'd cop a flogging.

Made me wonder why prices are so low considering the constant and new trouble in the middle east. Sooo as you do sometimes i googled and read this . . . Plummeting oil price explained in four graphs . . . but now my lunch break is over so im out.

As the saying goes, nothing lasts forever, so lets enjoy it while we can.

Oh it's not just the cheap imports, it's also the fact you can legally drive a 2000hp twin-turbo 540ci BBC-powered 57 Chev anywhere you want as long as it's certified. And if for some reason you get pulled over the cop is most likely just wanting to ask what her quarter mile time is before waving you on your way. :p

Yeah Costco 98 gave me some grief (but gotta love that pizza), spoke to other gluttons at the trough they agreed there are teething problems. Overall I find their own brand quality, vendor selection and value is tops, but something not right about the fuel (yet).

Agreed. At least you know their tanks are new and the fuel gets turned over rapidly. The hot dogs are also good.
