Fuel injector pintle cap differences?

Hey guy's, I'm rebuilding and cleaning my injectors with a ebay service kit.
My issue is the pintle caps are different to the ones that are on them now, I haven't removed any caps but does anyone know if these are correct and work still?

They are just a cap to hold the oring on but those new ones have a different opening so I wouldn't run them without testing as they could change the spray pattern. Weather the spray pattern change will be a good thing or not is a different story.

I purchased the ones below for my wife's VS Clubsport (V8 obviously) and recently installed them. The pintle caps are the same as the OEMs ones replaced. As shane-3800 says, it may or may not make a difference. Why take a risk for a couple of dollars?
