Hey all,

I have a Holden Commodore SV6 VE 2007

Someone able to help me with this...

The fuel gauge fails when I'm idle at lights, or really anywhere not moving and it's always random. Now while it's not affecting my fuel Level or sending still want to know more about this and how to fix please!

Have upload a screenshot of this.

Cheers guys!

Sounds like the fuel gauge sender unit for sure,
That is a tank out job.
But first check all the connections, and ground connections,
there is a connector plug under the back seat,
Also there is one on the side of the tank, on the drives side, just in front of the K Frame bolt, clipped on to the side of the tank,
And the main plug on top of the tank sender unit [only accessible from the inspection cover, if fitted, otherwise, tank out]
Unless you have a inspection plate under the back seat, on the drivers side, I believe some of the early VE's did have them under the seat.
Either you replaced the whole Pump, or just the fuel gauge sender unit,
Earlier in the year I replaced the fuel pump twice, due the first one was not compatible,
and then replaced it with an OEM unit, its all good now.
With removing the old Pump and tank sender unit, I kept the OEM Fuel Gauge Sender Unit, as it worked perfectly,
and ditched the old pump, as it had burnt terminals for the actual pump.
if you need just need a fuel gauge sender unit, PM me and I will find it, and let you know a price.
I hung on to it just as a spare.
