Hey guys just wondering if any of you can shed some light on this?
Over the weekend i drove from Newcastle to sydney and then from sydney back to newcastle.
When i filled up in newcastle it cost me $1.82/ltr for shell98 VPower , however for vpower in sydney on the way back home i took notice and most of the petrol stations down there and they were selling it for $1.64/ltr
Why is it justifiable that we here in newcastle are paying an extra 18c per litre as compared to the cheaper pricing in Sydney? I can understand maybe a 5c rise at the most...but 18c seems a little bit greedy and ridiculous.
It makes no sense to me at all, i thought Sydney being a big city that it is (and an expensive one to live in at that) that it would infact be more expensive?
It seems on my travels over the last few months that the further away you are from a capital city, you can pay up to 25c/ltr more?
Can anyone make sense of this??
