Omega VE series 2 LPG sedan
I have omega VE series 2 2011 factory fitted dual fuel that drives in LPG but needs petrol to start up and as it says switches back to petrol at higher load.

Does the petrol fuel pump runs while on LPG?
Will stale petrol affect pump life?
Is it good idea to avoid high octane fuel that may lower shelf life?
Will fuel additive STA-BIL Fuel Stabiliser help?

yes the pump always runs even when on lpg, just use the petrol for a bit sometimes will be fine, it's mostly the older metal tanks that turn old fuel to crap i had my ve with 1/4 of tank petrol sitting for over 6 months whilst doing work on it and was still ok when i drained it...

modern fuels turn to crap quicker than older fuels, eg years ago most fuels were distilled in the refinery, todays fuels use catalytic process to get from crude, but even this has improved over the years as the fuels would go back to there base state quicker (the old gooey red crap on a carby etc) it is recommended to use your fuel/turn it over as it does loose its oomph and it may cause the engine to run like crap
