    Fuel pump module/controller ?

Can someone please explain what the fuel pump module does on a supercharged VT ? Does it regulate the amount of fuel the pump puts out and if it is shot what would the symptoms be?

    cheers

i have never heard of a fuel pump 'module' but i would assume you are refering to the fuel pressure regulator that would maintain a constant prussure in the fuel rail. and release pressure as it is not required. a symptom of this not working would be lack of power hard to start

Yeah it's fuel pump controller located in the boot not the regulator on the fuel rails..just found out it switches the fuel pump speed from low to high when demand is there. Im hoping this could be why my L67 seems to be starved of fuel under load..either that or the pump is on its way out. Thought it was electical & replaced everything from leads to CAS, plugs, O2 sensors, coils/dfi etc & evrytime the car warmed up it would miss & splutter again. Now im looking at fuel related issues.
