    g'day all,
    just a quick question,

Before i go and buy a new fuel pump. is there anything that would cause the fuel pump not to prime?
Sometimes it primes and sometimes it doesn't, and starts rough, but no real trouble while driving.

    cheers
    scott

You're probably right with your view that your pump is buggered, however it
could be a blocked fuel filter, or a blocked strainer on the fuel pickup, or a kinked/squashed delivery/return pipe. Maybe the relay sticky? (think you can swap these around). Usually they just stop, and you thump the bottom of the tank to get them going again till next they decide to stop. Hope its simple.

Mines was like that, a ticking time bomb I reckon, could fail anytime. I reckon get it fixed as soon as possible.

Checked relays and fuses? There are a couple of fuses in the circuit, and the oil pressure switch is also in the circuit. I drew a little diagram up somewhere of the fuel circuit, which makes it a bit easier to check. Will try and find it and post it 4 u.
