Hi all, am having trouble working out what is going on with a mates vz alloytech crewy. I have injector pulse and spark but it still doesn't want to fire up, have replaced the fuel pump and in tank filter. Now I'm wondering if the pump is getting power. I would like to know what each pin does so that I can temporarily hard wire power to the pump at the relay to see if it will go.

Thanks for any help

Cheers Shane

Not to certain of my notes' accuracy from previous fault finding around the Fuel Pump relay under the bonnet.

Use a multimeter or test lamp to confirm. It would pay to double check before any jumpering is undertaken.

Not certain if the relay contacts are actually numbered 1 to 4 or if they use other number schemes.

Pins 1 - 2 are operating coil.
Pins 3 - 4 make contacts in relay. (Open circuit when relay is not energized.)

Pin 1 is battery from ignition switch operation to the Fuel Pump Relay operating coil.

Pin 2 is chassis earth for the relay's operating coil.

Pin 3 is the battery feed which goes to the fuel pump via the relay's contacts.

Pin 4 is from the relay contacts and connects to the fuel pump coil.
