hey guys, having problems with the litres/100km reading being displayed on the dash, seems very inaccurate seeing as i just had the injectors and throttle body serviced. anyone had the same problem? sumtimes goes up to 60l/100km when taking off and thats gentle acceleration... anyone know where the sensor for this reading is?

Its all calculated in the ECU from the float level sender in the tank and various other sensors. Try resetting the ECU first.

When resetting the trip computer there will be some large numbers displayed due to initial acceleration. It's not a sensor that runs it, it is manifold vacuum, similar to the old economy/power gauge on the early Commodores. The trip computer just averages the figures based on fuel level, distance to empty and throttle position.

Dont forget that 60l/100 is how much fuel you are using when accelerating. (ie, if you had 100km of dead straight not speed limited road and you were at full throttle sitting at max speed you would use 60l of fuel)

yeah totally understand that, but with light acceleration it used to be bout 25l/100km now its bout 50-60 with the same throttle position.... giving me the ****s cause my average is up to 12-14l/100 when it should be low 10's plus the fuel used doesnt match the amount it is refilled with....
