I'm putting an EFI 6 into my vk wagon. The carby is now gone, bless it's little venturis.

Due to a lack of EFI vks in wrecking yards and my utter complete stupidity in not grabbing the pump and surge tank out of the donor vehicle, i'm in need of a fuel system.

Any suggestions on what to use?

I'm thinking of using a lift pump to feed a small surge tank mounted under the car and a generic in tank pump in the surge tank to feed the motor.

Is there anything easier?

You might be able to use a vl fuel tank and pump set up. You will also need to run the fuel return line. There must be plenty of them at the wreckers. I don't think a surge tank is the way to.

If I've read the book right, the VKs with EFI used a surge tank set up. That's why I was thinking of using an aftermarket one.

For my EFI 5.0L conversion I'm using a VL wagon tank, and using the fuel pump from my VQ donor car.
