i thought it was 63? i remember when i ran outta fuel in my old car i put 61litres in unless vs acclaim was different
it actually doesnt state in my owners manual if the equipe is a luxury model (therefore being 73 litres)
although, it may have had a tank replacement so you just dont know what it could be by now.. i've gone thru about 4 tanks, all have developed holes (alot of travelling) only real way to tell, remove it and empty, then fill but really way too much hassle
the vs equipe has a 63 ltr tank i know this because i have one and they are based on the executive just got a few extras with them.
Same Tank, But! The official fuel tank quantity for the VS sedans (except for some V8 and luxury models) was 59L. Earlier Commdores had a 63L tank (actually 63.6L, or 14 imperial gallons). However, the tank is the same. The reason for the reduced capacity was that the tank was 63.6L filled to the brim, but the owners manual warned against drip filling the tank unless you were going to drive at least 50 Km immediately. The reported capacity of 59L more closely equated to that achieved when filling to the first click as recommended. If you drip fill and then park the car, thermal expansion of fuel in the tank can cause fuel to flow in a reverse direction to the charcoal canister and cause hard starting/rough running until things return to normal. In the same way, the long range tank in the VS was 73L, versus 80L in previous models. Still the same tank though.
