fuel tank size

hey guys i have had a quick look but found nothing, how much petrol can you get in a vy series 2 6 cylinder ute?

i filled up from empty (6 klms to go ) and got 55 ltrs in her. Does this sound about right?

Dunno about a ute mate but the sedan series 2 is 75 litres. It tells you in your user manual what the tank capacity is. I know when mines near empty I'm flat out getting 60 litres in, must be a bit left in the bottom?

The VY 2 Sedans and Station Wagons are all 75 litre capacity fuel tanks so I expect the ute would be the same

utes are smaller im not sure on the exact capacity but it will b in ya manual

hrm, so one would think theres still some left when it say empty.
either that or im not filling it to the top

will have a look in the manual and try again.

I've always assumed that it was about 60L, i've never managed to fill up anymore than 55L

According to a few road tests I have read on both the VY and VZ Utes, the fuel tank capacity on both model utes is slightly lower than sedans/wagons -- at 70 litres.

70 litres for VU to VZ utes. The last five litres or so are unusable because they remain in a swirl-pot surrounding the pump to keep it cool. Once the tank is filled for the first time, the pot fills and retains the fuel so that it cannot be accessed by the fuel pick-up.
