well i'm stoked as hell about the fuel economy that we got out of amy's vl last week when we drove down to newcastle from brisbane.

1 and a 1/4 tanks of premium to get down there and about the same to get back.

i don't know what that works out to be when you break it down but it's a 800km+ trip each way.

if only i could get that kind of economy out of the vc:whistling

60ltrs a tank then 15 a quater (these are ruff),
say its 800km the trip then it works out to 10.6ltrs/100km but if its more then 800km your avg will b lower,
not bad for a 20 year old car, infact its very good for there age

i only use normal octaine pertol as i dont really see the gains in distance to price, but thats just me and ive got stock timing none of the advance crap,

if u want it out of the vc place a rb30 in it lol

well went for another drive 2day running around, the fuel guage stoped at its final spot of a 1/4 tank to go,
so the 44ltrs i put in on sunday was just under 3/4 of a tank,
and on the crusie i coverd 225.5 kms using half a tank
so it works out to 13.3ltrs/100kms with a bit out thrashing thought the long hilly run we had,
now if i have a quater of a tank left (15ltrs) i should get 112kms on the 13.3ltr/100kms avg worked out before,

so i should end up with 383km out of my 44ltrs of petti i placed in on sunday,
and if it was a full tank it would be in the area of 495km on the 13.3ltr/100km

just going to have to wait and see, hope 383km comes up.

well ran out 2day, got 408.3 km to 44 ltrs so 11.2ltrs/100km with a bit of thrashing throught the hills on the crusie

As dangerous as it is, the old slipstream will save fuel every time!

My VL has K&N panel, cai, ext., BP Ultimate. Its these little things that will get you better fuel economy. Usualy alittle more power too, but not enough to feel it !:w00t:

dead empty.... and it only took 28 litres? i think doing the math would be a waste of time.
