VS 5L Ute
Hey guys, hoping someone can help me,

About 4 months ago i came around a corner and lost control of my vs ute as it was wet i had some gutter love :(. The front right wheel hit the gutter first, when it hit it was full lock right which im sure the rack didn't like :/. So I took it to the mechanics and they replaced the steering rack for me which fixed my major problem but now when i drive my handling is really bad, i scared to take it over 120km. I have more lock to the right then the left and when i go full lock right it sticks, so in other words i can put it in drive and go full lock right and hop out and watch my car go around in circles :/. I took it back to the mechanics and the pricks cant find anything wrong with it :(. Btw i have replaced the steering pump too.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Id be taking it to a wheel alignment specialist and getting them to check it all out.It sounds dangerous,so try not to drive it.I just replaced my front inner control arm bushes and front ball joints, and when I took it in for a wheel alignment, the guy said the wheel alignment (toe in) was out by 24 mm.Before the wheel alignment was done, it was doing a similar thing to what yours is doing, not centreing itself when coming out of turns. It was certainly a handful to steer like it was.Its steers perfect again now.Old mate did an excellent job.

I would say they have installed the rack off centre.

Is one tie rod end screwed in noticeably more than the other?

It had a wheel alignment when they replaced the rack but I took it to my mate at bob Jane and he said it was toed a far bit. I'm getting new tyres on it today so his gonna have another good at things for me. I'll check the tie rod end tonight when I get it back, another mate said it could be the ball joints.
