full respray how much

But unlike the car, the paint's new. And probably of a higher quality (not that I should be bagging XF's).

 

It depends on the quality of the existing paint, rust, type of paint you want, quality of panels, how deep the respray is etc.

Cheapest I've seen is $599, but that assumes just a simple rub back and respray in a basic paint and I doubt the quality would be anything to write home about.

You could quite easily pay about $20,000 for a respray if you wanted also.

$3000-5000 should see a reasonable respray done. When you change colours you have to remove the engine, spend years doing sills and that adds a fair bit. Generally, for an XF, it's really not worth it.

LOL. I'm not bagging your XF. I own a resprayed XF. Albeit a pretty badly resprayed one. The engine bay never got done.

Yeah true respray are always better than stock new cars seem to have some horrible paint jobs and orange peel.
My mate respray his vp wagon in anthracite grey cost him a grand in materials got his mate to paint it for nothing and its a good paint job for a 3rd year apprentice spraying black (well almost) for the first time

10 spray cans
scotches
and pack of razor blades for over spray

if you want the quality my cars getting done to ill do it for $20,000+

depends on what you want really, my mate whos painting my car would proberly do a quick spray if your not over phased about it but still will be semi good,
all depends on rust, dents and previous paint etc

what about in the cowl panel above the firewall? xfs tend to rust out bad there.

all depends, he would have to see it before he desides as your opinion is differ to say mine or someone else
