It's not the copy I did for you is it?
Seem to remember posting a copy to someone on here.
Edit: Could have been Immortality. Not sure now.
No, it wasn't me.

I've been googling this nearly the whole day and only just now found what I need.View attachment 199971

Just for comparison here is the VT oneView attachment 199972

Once again the Holden Service CD is wrong.
Got no brake lights in my VU and the label inside mine (same as above but hard to read so thanks) doesn’t identify brake or tail lamps. Tail lights and indicators work but no brake. Any ideas folks?

The brake switch on the brake pedal would be a likely candidate. Very awkward to replace though.

Thanks lout, that's good to know. Perhaps I shouldn't place too much credence on what the Holden service CD says. It's caused me concern a couple of times now.

The CD is a bit difficult to find things, you just need to know where to look. In this case it's in the VXII sections (excerpt attached below). Having said that, the CD is far, far better than the service manual documentation GM puts out for the VF series.

As lout said.....fuse panel under the steering column.
Brake light fuse should be F5.

Fuse panel took some finding, old mate before me had broken the hinge and inserted a screw.

Anyway fuse all good and at least have brake light on passenger side but not drivers. Was hopeful for some reason that a left and right rear fuse may exist.

Looks like time to pay a sparky to check. Is a pain in the rear to get to tail light as it has the poly tub liner installed. That has to come out first but is fixed in fairly well

Any ideas what the female plug is under the fuse panel and above the brake pedal?

Cheers folks

Checked for corrosion inside the fitting?

You can get cheap multimeters at jaycar or your local automotive outlet. Easy to test if there is voltage/continuity at the fitting.
