So after my 4th V8 I wanted a nice smooth quieter car. Was out looking for ages and was narrowed it down to a MPS6 or a G6ET. I picked it up about a week and a half ago and then went away with work for a week came back and the battery was dead so went out and got a optima yellow top for it so it should never struggle with power again. Have also just got it tinted darkest legal with Elite Black tint. My aim is for 400rwkw daily. Just going through and will do diff and tail shaft first. Model: 2008 G6E Turbo Colour: Steel Engine Type: 4.0lt Turbo I6 Gearbox: Stock ZF Auto Diff: Booked in for a TrueTrac/LSD next week Suspension: Stock Wheels/Tyres: Stock 19" G6ET Interior: Cashmere Leather Other Mods: Optima Yellow Top Battery Stereo: Stock
I do love these. Just lower it another inch and a half and there's nothing more you need to do to the outside.
Thanks for the comments. Yea just planning on leaving the outside as stock looking as possible. Just the usual things to get to 400rwkw. Tune, GTX3582R turbo, 1000cc injectors, Plazmaman Stage 3 Intercooler kit, Surge Tank & twin 044 Pump. Haven't decided if I will go turbo side intake yet or not and also which exhaust to get. Once thats all done I will see where it's at and go from there. Trying to decide who to get to tune it, either Elite Auto or Real Dyno Performance.
Shouldn't need twin 044's for that power level. My single one is doing the job fine. Don't know of anyone running a factory location airbox with those sort of numbers, keeping in mine the GTX3582 has a 0.7 front cover that takes a 4" intake.
Should change the name of this site to Just Fords... Have all the Ford models and the commys in the miscellaneous. Looks good.
I also approve of this thread. Nice G6ET. Can I have your rims? I see yours has the adjustable pedals and perimeter alarm, nice pickup. And you better get some floor mats - pronto!
The rims are one of the main reasons I went for this one lol Yea I had to read the book to work out that adjustable pedal button cause from looking at it and pressing it didn't notice anything I brought the car from the dealer so for $700 they added the eco shield paint and interior treatment. They said it has a lifetime warranty on it so if i manage to stain anything then just call up and the stain will be removed... same sort of thing with the paint... never requires waxing etc. Thats why I didn't mind the interior colour.
Yeah, If I didn't know what it did, I'd still be pressing it and wondering... Got a similar arrangement with mine. Still have to wax it, but not for awhile. I just keep the shine up with Auto Glym surface detailer. The dirt just washes off under low pressure, I love it. Only went for the pack as I got to choose who applied it and if I ever soiled the cashmere leather.
So... dropped the car off this arvo to get the TrueTrac fitted. Tomorrow arvo it will be ready so no more single spinner Also had a package waiting for me when i got home. They even threw in a free Billet Oil Cap.
Good old Plazamaman. I got the same kit, haven't used the oil cap though, to "bling bling" for my engine bay.
Yea kinda wanna keep it as much "Stealth Black" in the engine bay as possible. I ended up venting the BOV last night as well... not sure if I like it.
I have that oil cap, the boys love changing the oil when it's roasting hot, lol. BOV vented on the GT3576 with stock boost sounds horrid, it's like a cute little flutter.
Cheers mate its way different to the SS Picked my car up this arvo from Hart Transmissions with the new TrueTrac in it. Now just have to wait to run it in Also decided ill make it look a bit more grandpa spec on the outside so I brought some wind/weathershields for the front windows. Haven't fitted them yet but so will find out if I like the look after that
I would never fit weather shields to mine. Bonnet and headlight protectors yes. Also, a cargo net is a good idea, I use mine all the time. Also grandpa hat is a must. Let us all know how the TrueTrac goes. Interested to hear your thoughts. Mine has factory (optioned) LSD but its starting to whine pretty loudly.
