sorry mpower, couldnt help myself
The way I see it the spoiler section is the book section because we are discussing plot points well into the future as well as current series story lines. It just seems like semantics but if you like I can rename the spoiler thread the book discussion thread. It wont change its content though. Fair enough you didnt want to know whats ahead in the books/s4 so I figured a spoiler section and non spoiler section would be the most clear cut with only one easy to follow rule rather than trying to remember if its book or series etc.
Ive done the decent thing by you guys by making sure you wont see spoilers, if you want to be a Joffery about it ill start dishing story lines willy nilly because a Lannister always pays their debts.
New Trailer. A larger focus on Arya this time. A sign of things to come for her this season with it ending "Valor Morghulis"
For anyone who hasn't see this and would like a refresher before S4 here's a recap of season 3.
Games of Thrones S4 (possible spoilers)
just watched the first episode.
already off to an awesome start!!!
one part i kinda got shitty was when daenerys body guard guy goes 'dragons, they cannot be tamed'
Ser Jorah .
I stopped reading the books after the Red Wedding and I am only semi-interested in it now but watched last nights episode.
Still a bit ho-hum about it.
Theres already a Season 4 thread which is about the TV series rather than the books. Merged with that one.
Since, every other Targaryen before her was able to tame Dragons.
Maybe shes just a **** ####.
So we got our first glimpse of The Red Viper - he is every bit as majestic as in the books. Loved the bit where him and Tyrion are talking about Rhaegar and Elia. I loved that they included a lot of history there, <3 Rhaegar.
I ####ing hate new Daario.
For those who dont know, new Daario is old Benjen Stark.
The Two Swords scene was done really well.
Rains of Castamere in the background, melting down Ice and throwing the wolf scabbard onto the fire. Signalling the end of the Starks. It was awesome they showed all the Valyrian runes melting down. Really sad moment. Wait till Sansa sees it.
I think we officially have the best quote of the series so far from no other than the Hound.
"I understand that if you dribble any more words out of your **** mouth I am going to have to eat every ####ing chicken in this room"
Followed by Arya's face as shes riding a pony haha.
Gren new Daario is a massive fail, end of story.
Hes a better actor (he didnt have much of a chance this episode) but I just dont think hes Daario. Hes so plain. Daario has ####ing blue hair and a long blue beard and runs around in yellow armor. Atleast old Daario was like yeaaaaah you wanna touch me.
I loved old Daario - although i was in the minority.
I guess it wont matter who Daario is in the end. Victarion is better.
Moar Gifs cause #### you.
I like to think shes asking for a pearl necklace personally...
Lol how stupid was the bit when they introduced him , I know they have to somehow show its supposed to be the same guy . but the whole " Daario is over here " was funny
Something wrong with your leg boy ?
red viper is suave as fk! im hoping he fks **** up. does he know about his sister in law daenerys?
what happen to daarios character? i was tryin to work out who the new guy was lol
Ed Skerin is the new Transporter, so the roles clashed (and people hated him because he didnt look anything like the books)
New Daario is the old Benjen Stark from Season 1 (and people love him because he doesnt look anything like the books - also, weve been waiting to see Benjen Stark for 16 years. I guess hes dead)
As far as the Viper goes. He is the man. He will quickly become the favorite this season and theres one scene that every book reader is dying to see.
The Martells and Dany, Im almost 100% positive the Martells do know about Dany (after all they travel to the Free Cities a lot and word would easily reach them).
A bit of history. These arent spoilers Its about PRE GOT which the TV show doesnt really touch on. I dont think The Martells really hold any loyalty to Dany. She was Rhaegars sister, who was born in the dying moments of the war. The Martells dont even know her and they might even feel some resentment.
Prior to the end of the Rebellion, The Mad King's wife was on Dragonstone with Viserys and giving birth to Dany - in relative safety. Elia, with her daughter and Aegon (Rhaegars children to Elia Martell) were in Kings Landing. When Rhaegar died, the Lannisters switched sides and sacked Kings Landing which put the Martells and Rhaegars children directly under the boot - literally as touched on by Oberyn in this episode, he wants revenge.
Although the Martells hold Rhaegar in very high statue (as does almost everyone, except Robert Baratheon) Im sure there is some animosity there. Dany and Viserys were safe on Dragonstone while the other kids were left to die and Rhaegar was off banging Lyanna Stark half the 7 kingdoms away.
Sir Type A Lot Fken Faster.
