Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. Will certainly look into those cams.

The motor is out of my vh and I am in the slow process of buying parts and having it put
back together. The motor is a vp 355 stroker. What is the best gasket set to buy and who
sells them? Thanks

.. I use the genuine Holden ones on my race engines - head sump timing cover water pump etc
(now you cannot get ACL Race anymore)

I use Speco rubber for the rocker cover gaskets ..as cork are shite (Holden don't do rubber for early heads)

ps... ALWAYS the genuine gaskets on the oil pump, always!

I would look at:
Camtech CT2248 49903 (230/233 .579 on a 110)
Or my preference, crow 41433: 228/238 .600 on a 110

What doesn't make sense to me is that crow cam is $90 dearer from crow than vpw

Strange. Bulk buy discount maybe? Either way it is the same stick irrespective of where you purchase.
Maybe phone crow, I don't know if they do deals, but could maybe do cam/lifter/spring combo for you.
