Hello all, just looking for a bit of advice on some gauge options for my VS.
I just bought a mount for under my headunit, it fits 3 2inch gauges.
What i'm needing help on is choosing what gauges to use. So far i have thought of volts and oil temp, the third one is a mystery. I heard someone once tell me you could get a vacum gauge or something? The gauge kind of acts like a PSI or boost gauge measuring the air or something the intake sucks in, or i could be wrong....
Also, can anyone recommend any brands or places i can search for some reasonable priced gauges? Also, how much should i look at for installation seeing as there is no way i will tackle this myself. I want the gauges to light up blue at night to match the rest of my dash.
Now, if you're here to have a dig at me for installing gauges in a N/A VS V6 Ute then don't even bother commenting. I like the look of them and the luxury of checking the state of my engine.
Thanks in advance, any advice appreciated.

In Narre Warren.

Budget brand your best bet is Speco, if you want to go all out, get Autometer.

Get whatever gauges you want. I went with temp related one's since thats the VS's biggest crux.

ive gone saas guages they seem really good for the price and light up 7 colours including blue but look good with white faces, water temp and volts because the ones on my dash dont work, and boost because i had a turbo i was going to fit but it does vacuum aswell so ill keep using it.

All very good options.
I can't seem to get onto that speed parts website hama time, the page refuses to load. With cheaper budget gauges what are they prone to do compared to more expensive ones? Breaking or wrong reading? I don't want to be a stinge and then regret it later.
Also, with installation, how much did it cost you fellas? Or, did you do it yourselves?
vkcommodore6, can you get just vacumm gauges? They sound real interesting....

I'd go for oil pressure as the third gauge, more important than vaccuum........

I think i've decided on water temp, oil pressure and vacuum.
Vacuum or volts really, it's a bit of a toss up...
I have a bit of time to think as before the gauges are purchased i need to paint my front bar and put my monza seats in, so, it's a bit of thinking time.
