Hi all hi have a problem with my 2010 Ute
The automatic gearbox is doing funny things I was going around a round about an had know drive took it to a gearboxs merchanic an he said there was cylinder in the gearbox that was the problem told me it was cheaper to get a new box instead of fixing the one in it now
Anyone got any advice as it’s going to cost a fair bit of money otherwise
Thank you

mate i would try servicing it yourself, i have done my own for 20+ years, do some research, find how much oil to add when you remove the pan and filter ect, the filter service kits around $50 then add around $50-70 bucks for oil,
if it's low on oil it will not shift work correctly so it's worth a try
low oil level in a auto causes all sorts of problems
try servicing first , at least that way after that if it's still NQR you need a new auto
good luck mate

As above, try that first. While doing that, start googling second hand boxes. Most of the time, its correct, its easier to just replace the gearbox. If you want piece of mind, you should be able to get a new box for around $4500
