Hey guys, just looking at getting my gearbox serviced (1996 VS). Wheres a good place in melbourne to go do this? Was reading about shift kits a while ago and everybody strongly recommended a place in melbourne for doing shift kits and general holden gearbox servicing - did a search and couldnt find that thread :ranting: (Im not to sure if it is a gearbox related problem but its being really sluggy between shifts and i cant really control the car smoothly anymore. You put your foot down and its going nice and smooth, you put it down a bit more to go faster and it just jolts badly then the revs increase more then i aimed to do so i have to back off again. It normally does this low down in first and second when doing about 20-40km. Thing is though it feels like the jolting is coming more from the diff the the gearbox.....meh - neither have been serviced in at least 40000km since thats how much ive put on the car since ive had it). thx guys
I got mine serviced at ultratune ($190) There are a few places that do transmission services... I found a few other in the yellow pages :thumbsup: hope that helps a little
