I belive it's my gearbox has generated a knock. This happened after a 2600Km drive interstate. I first thought it was the engine cause it did it at idle, and would slightly dissapear at warm up. However i questioned it cause the sound would dimish at higher RPM. However i found that with the car in P the sound was barely there, in D it was a little louder and in R is was really pronouced. Does this seem like a G/box issue? If so what could it be? P.S the sound does dimish when the car is warmed up.

Sounds like a bad engine mount allowing the motor/gearbox/exhaust to hit the body/chassis when a gear is selected - this pushes the engine/gearbox to one side giving a knock or rocking sound.
