2008 Holden VE SV6 Series 1 Ute
Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with my 2008 Holden VE SV6 Series 1. When I'm driving at around 80-100km/h on a flat road, the gears keep changing from 5th to 6th every 30-60 seconds and then back again. It's pretty annoying and I'm worried it might be a bigger problem.

I took my Ute in for a transmission service, but they couldn't find any issues. They did mention that they weren't able to take it onto the highway to test it at higher speeds, so I guess the service was just a precaution. But the problem still persists.

Is this a bad thing? Who should I see to have this looked at? Could this be detrimental to my Ute in the long run? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Don’t know if you have an actual issue with the transmission as such but you could get the computer tune adjusted for the shift points etc which would definitely help with that

Can you get it to a stretch of flat long road for testing. Flick on the cruise control and see if it still does it.
