ok guy's,dont know if ive told anyone but currently im running a acer system, and im far from impressed, if anything im rather disapointed and anoyed at this system, it's reliable, but i cant do anything with it, it's as good as it can be.

so on saturday i went out and ordered a custom built machine threw hp

3.4ghz intel cpu
512mb video card
2gig memory ddr2
120gig hard drive
7.1 sound system on it.
1 dvd cd recordable system
6 in 1 card reader
windows media center
windows xp home sp2
a flash looking cordless keyboard and mouse, looks cool
and a shitty looking hp all in one printer scanner fax copyer thingy

net connection it will be running will be a fiber connection, aka digital subscriber line running the vdsl edgelink vtu10 along side the vtuv24s (ill take pic's on thrusday when it's commisioned)

now, the question i realy wanna know is, im looking for either a 19 or a 21 inch lcd screen with a 4ms responce time, around the 1024x1028 colour mark any ideas.

i like the widescreen screen, but soon to be wife isnt to keen on the idea, so if you can give me some tips so i can talk up the widescreen abit that would be good

cheers
garth

If your gaming, there is yet a widescreen even with 4ms response that looks good... Widescreen PC lcd's are nice for every day use but intense graphics etc... worthless..

Look into a 19" 4:3 ratio..... 4ms screen. You'll never regret it :)

Cheers

Have a look at the larger dell screens on their site. We are running a few top end 19's here at work and am pretty impressed by the resolution and viewing angles,

Yep Dell make a pretty good screen, some of their larger widescreens are all but worshipped by gamers.

19" you are looking at 1280x1024 res... anything larger is going to be 1600x1200, which can be a bit hard on the eyes for some.
