Amazon or eBay would be the last place I’d go to to be sure I have something genuine.
Independent sellers are what make Amazon as well. Just like eBay, they use Amazon as a platform to sell what they want. Amazon isn’t buying stuff. It’s sellers are.
Cheers FU, I've still got the original plugs in the car at 88k. They were going to replace them at the latest service so l thought l would change them and save myself some money.
With the afm l expected the cutout cylinders would be showing less wear. Wrong there wasn't much difference. So I closed the gap back to 1 ml. and put them back in. The thing is they looked like they still had another 80k left in them. The new plugs that l ordered are Autolite double platinum when the time comes, will they even be worth putting in. Thanks again.

I purchased a set of NGK plugs for the Adventra (LY7)
“NGK Platinum Spark Plug LTR6AP-11”
from
sparesbox_auto
on 17/2/2024,
And not had an issue with them,
I have put the scanner on it every so often and hasn’t produced any misfires/errors codes.

That said,
Yes there is a lot of fake copies out there,
Buyer be aware they say!

Mine are fake, counterfeit, just like in the thread.
Pictures for a like for like comparison please.
Not to mention, it will make the thread even more helpfull in identifying fake with good clear photos of what to look out for.

Maybe I have old stock?
That's what these were purchased as 3 years ago.
Box is printed the same as fake but cut out as per new stock.
Missing Z on top, missing batch code, in saying that, I have some new old stock Bosch plugs and they do not have a batch code.
Gap is 0.75mm and end protective cap is present.
This is on most plugs you buy and is to protect a pre gaped plug in transport.
I found it suspicious that a genuine, factory gaped plug would not have the plastic (or cardboard) protective collar present.
Overall, I had no suspicions till I read this thread and at first I was convinced that they are fake but maybe I have old stock?
I don't know what the answer is, I would like to say purchase from a known local auto parts group but no one I know sells these.
I have had a lot of trouble lately with KYB and Makay products, supplied by reputable parts shops only to fail within 2oookms...
