Are you sure your measuring them accurately? Lol

You won't notice a difference if they are.

lol ok i have to admit i've lost my gap measuring tool so am doing it by site with a mm ruler <--preparing to be flamed :D

I thought was 0.40 to 0.50 using that tool or 1mm to 1.5 is fine

Ok i've answered my own question. I rang my local Holden outfit and told him i'd brought a set of Denso PTJ16R15 for my VY2 LS1, he said that they are pre-gaped at 1.52mm which is what the R15 stands for and they can go straight in as is without altering the gap.

The last number on any plug is the gap. Im really surprised that you guys have to check gaps in plugs. Like i said previously i have never had a plug gap that has been incorrect out of the box and ive must have fitted thousands over the years. Maybe its an australian thing.

I'm the same. Any plug that has it's gap in its part number, I don't bother checking.

But on the same hand, I won't tell someone not to verify it. As I said earlier in this thread. Shouldn't need it, but doesn't hurt to verify. C.Y.A.
