That filter was on my car for 80km. It failed instantly. I will cut it open and post pictures here tomorrow.
neh, its not worth the effort. I'll cut it apart to show everyone what its like inside. **** like this can kill motors though. So be ware.
From another forum. Your first problem was buying from Autobarn. I would of thought you better than that Soop.
LOL, thats what you get when your send someone else to get parts for you . But seriously, a fuel filter SHOULDN'T be too hard you wouldn't think.
DRIFT Performance Products | Online Shop DRIFT products arent made FOR autobarn, autobarn is the australian distributor for the brand. so the guy who was told that info was told wrong. not all their products are copies, but a lot is. im not defending drift, they do have some good products, the fuel filter obviously not being one. soop showed me this last night, im waiting for his pics, so i can show my boss. im more curious as to how small the filter inside it is, pretty poor for a "performance" product by the sounds of it.
Well cheap crap or not, at least you caught it before it let **** into your engine Soop. Was it making a strange rattle sound or something?
such a crappy looking filter. what is it with car manufacturers trying to run the smallest filter possible in every application.
I once used a drift fuel filter on my car , made it shutter and so one , so went and got ryco ? one and problem fixed , man thats a really bad product
I guess you mean shudder, as in misfire? I wouldn't be suprised if it was for the same reason. I sent an e-mail to DRIFT documenting my issue and they responded tonight. It will be interesting to see what they say about it. I'm not bothered with waranty or a refund. They may be able to rectify the issue if they're informed though. Only fair I guess.
yeh at traffic lights or idleing it would shudder/ slight misfire , changed so many coil packs thinking they were the cause . Changed the fuel filter and it went away lol
