Get rid of profile updates

There’s a whole section at the bottom for profile updates.

No one who uses this site often uses them but lots of new members dump questions in them and get no answer, over all driving them away from returning.

I know forums are not rocket science but a whole generation has been facebooked and don’t understand the forum concept. Eliminating a weak point for the forum might force new users to post a thread instead.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to do on this forum platform though.

Went through and I believe have disabled standard users from doing this.

I think it comes down to people can't read, elect not to read or just plain old lazy.

Receive daily 5+ emails asking for help despite indicating on the contact us form requests for help saying it will be ignored.

Same thing with how do I post, yet this information is sent when the account is created.

Don't even get me started on how many threads are posted in the 'Showcase' section which have to be moved by the moderators.
