Hi guys for VS VT VX VU and VY with a getrag manual
maybe it been discussed already but I recently had an issue with getrag knob that had separated internally and was just spinning on the shifter shaft. After some trial and error I found that a long 1/8th rivet drilled through the shifter knob and directly into the shaft of the shifter stopped it spinning. By locating the rivet at 10:30 on the clock, you cant see it and are able to get there with a drill in situ. I'm stoked. Also if you have a damaged gear boot retainer that wont seat, just glue it with sika to the shifter shroud surround (obviously with the surround out of the car - you glue from underneath) Had a great outcome with these two tricks. thanks
