Ok, have started stripping the engine bay to tidy some **** up and have hit a snag! ILL BE STUFFED IF I CAN GET THE CRUISE CONTROL CABLE OFF THE BRACKET!!
It appears that there are two tabs that have to be depressed and then the main plastic body slid out of the bracket, but I can seem to get the tabs in enough. Does any one know if i'm doing it right, or have any tips?
    Cheers Dave

Tried some lube? The 2 tages are the only bit holding it in. Small ish flat blade screw driver did the trick for me.

just take out the 2 10m bolts and lay it on the engine bay, if not just take it out with the cruise control,, but if you really need to paint the bracket get a big arse screwdriver and pop it
