Why bother? Nothing wrong with the factory setup. If your after the whine then they only do that if they are tensioned to much.

If want the whine make it real , spend the coin and supercharge it. ( then the whine will mean something and have a bit of substance).

Or you could just drive fast with your missus/ girlfriend in the car , ha ha ha.

But to answer your question, sorry, hopefully someone else knows.
But surely the same as vr/vs , only difference I think is roller cam and air flow meter and that still depends on whether you have that engine, not all vs3 are roller engine, depends when yours was built.

There are subtle differences for the s3 V8's with the use of serpentine belts for the accessories. Not sure exactly what they are but I used a VT 304 alternator on my VS and had to stuff around a bit making it line up correctly for use with the older V belt.

Its definitely a roller motor . Only after the whine not the hp have another car for that . Do you reckon just modify a normal Gilmer drive kit for vs ?? Thanks for any input .

Well it probably could be made to work but it may involve a bit of stuffing about making things fit and line up etc rather than been a simple bolt on exercise.

I certainly can't guarantee anything though. These are the joys of modifying cars.

Post a pic of your alternator and we can tell you whether it’ll work or not. Some s3’s got the high output alternator (same as vt but with v pulley) and others got standard old external fan style. No vs s3’s came with the serpentine setup - only vt.

It's fitting the alternator gilmor pully that isn't straight forward.
Either the hole is too small, or you need to machine the back of the pulley down to allow thread for nut to secure it on.
I vaguely remember helping a mate of a mate set up gilmour on his vt
