About this LHD and RHD drive thing, I've owned a 68 Firebird for 20 years which was converted to RHD in 1969, I'm glad its RHD. The indicator stalk is on the left still (which a good few euros have too I know) after driving the Firebird and getting back into a Commodore I still find myself flicking the wipers on when I want to change lanes on occasion.

The guys and gals out here doing the LHD to RHD drive shuffle currently are mostly enthusiasts in their 30 year and older specialty cars, these are car lovers like us. Whilst the majority of these enthusiasts can and do swap between the two without having a lapse in judgement/concentration do you want any already half hopeless drivers being in the position to do this ?

I spend a bit of time of the roads and a lot of people seem stretched to the limit keeping their tiny 4 cylinder POS in just 1 lane. Whilst I want access to these cars too I'm not sure free for all LHD out here is the answer.

Have to admit it's not just drivers who make mistakes. Do know of a situation where a cop breath tested the passenger of a LHD vehicle by mistake. Didn't realise his mistake until the driver asked from the LHS of the vehicle "don't you want to breath test the driver as well!"
