You can most definitely change the configuration of the dash cluster. I can easily change the Transmission type, sedan/wagon, etc. And I have programmed my own keys before, you just need the BCM code.

Mine was on a card with all my cars codes, in the little globebox folder with the cars manuals and dealership books and stuff. If you don't have it, ask a dealership if they can give it to you. I have been told by a dealership that they no longer provide the codes, but others say they can still get it. So go and ask. Take a rego certificate with you.

Thanks mate, when I bought my Clubsport, the clown had misplaced this card and didn't seem to share my concern about it.

Hi folks, sorry to raise an old thread, but I'm looking for a Tech2 to carry out some work at home. Don't have a heap of money but I realise the risk involved in buying a cheap unit. In your experience, what's the best unit to buy? Want to be able to clear codes, configure cluster/auto/man and realign bcm/pcm/ECU. Thanks again

Was delivered quickly but am yet to have a full on play with it. I did plug it in to my VZ and got through all the menus ok.

Hey everyone, just wanted to get people's opionion on this particular tech 2 scanner on eBay Iv seen it in person and it the software there using is the Geniune GM software.
Is that a good price?
Has anyone seen the same one cheaper somewhere else?
