Hey guys, I know people have made this kind of thread before. But i'm really nervous about tomorrow and want to know specifically who has done their test in victoria. Anyone done it at sunhine? tips?
I can't say I've done it in Victoria but just wanted to wish you luck, I remember how nerve wracking it is. Good luck and try not to be nervous - you know you can drive, so just take a deep breath and drive
good luck man, you'll be fine. the best feeling is after you've done the test and your like, i was stressing about that? pfft
Also if you go through a temporary speed reduced road don't "follow everyone else's lead" and do the original speed limit (like I did my first time) haha. Good luck, hopefully we see a good news thread tomorrow
If the instructor tells you to make a U-turn and its not legal to do so, tell him you cant because its illegal. They do that, tell you to do something then say 'oops sorry mate you failed'. You only have to do as they tell you if its legal, watch for traps. Good luck mate :beer chug:
Good luck mate, you'll be fine, if your instructor and tester are talking, let them, don't join in, because they'll stop, and then all the focus is on you, and that feels much worse. I got mine in werribee 5 years back, it was easy. 93%. the only thing I did wrong, was turn a 3 point turn into a 5 point turn! Then you walk in, take your photo, and relax instantly. Although, the 1st drive by your self feels weird!
Wow we had to get 100%. One question wrong, one mistake on the road.. see you in another 3 months mate.. that was 40 years ago in the NT though lol
Stay under the speed limit by 5km's, don't brake to early at red lights, know how to do 3 point turn, and reverse parking, if manual, know how to do a hill start.
stop completely at stop signs, stay 5 k's under the speed limit and headcheck the #### out of it when changing lanes etc. Mate, its stupidly easy don't stress just forget about the person in the back (but dont forget to stop completely at stop signs, stay 5 k's under the speed limit and headcheck the #### out of it when changing lanes) haha. Nah good luck you'll be right
I'm glad I don't have to do it now here in Tas, they have brought in this L1, L2, P1 and then P2 thing...so you have to do two practical tests - one from L1 to L2 and one from L2 to P1. It's probably always been like that in other states (?) but we just used to go from Ls to Ps, with one practical test. Revenue raising much...
I think you can get as little as 70% now, don't quote me on that though. And we wonder why we have **** drivers that speaka no englisa! Also, use your mirrors, and use them again.
We only have one L. Only one practical test to get P's lol I pass this then no more tests till I'm 80
i hope you pass, i dont know how i will pass since my mother is a taxi driver, teaching me to drive like a taxi driver
Rule of thumb I learnt "during my test" for an intersection or red light, start braking roughly where the centre line goes from broken or double, a a continuous line. If you know what I mean. Indicate before you brake too.
Yep, you have to do the 50 hours on L2 I think before you can go for P1. Do you have two sets of P plates or is that NSW?
