The brakes are still mushy and need a lot of pedal travel with the VT front brakes and 1" master. The quickfill really helps them. I have 1" factory master with the Corvette c4's on my senator. Stock single piston almost pulls up better in my opinion it's a waste of the brake set up. Will be going vt master.

Ve apparently works well with 1" master but need 16" rims and dogbones.

I had read that about the 1'' but might just see how it goes to start seeing as it's direct swap rather than the mucking around involved with the VT. Hoping rear braided lines will help with the pedal feel issue anyway.

Good news is at least Cooling system is back together with new thermostat, water pump and overflow. Full flush and new coolant so drives quite cool now.

I've got braided lines all round. The brakes aren't very effective until it's at least half a pedal deep.

It's been years since I've done a VT master set up but from memory as long as you have the plastic booster it wasn't hard. I think when we had a metal booster we just drew up an adapter plate and had it laser cut. Figured out the right thickness so we didn't need to reduce the rod length or play with mounting holes.

OK so at the point now where its sitting on stands waiting for me to decide what to do with front brakes. Front calipers are ruined.

Is there a slightly better option between current brakes and the full VT upgrade anyone can think of?

O.K Seeing as companies offering VT kits werent getting back to me.

Ended up going VS V8 fronts (reco'd calipers with 290mm discs)
New discs and pads rear with braided lines all round
1'' Master and a ended up having to replace the booster.
Also replaced a few sensors, 02, IAC...
Ended up with new Hoses and radiator also.

Means I had to lose the mooncaps so running silver ceptors now.

Well VN is now the daily as I sold my Land Rover. At least until me new car gets built...

New Head lights and tail lights with some LED globes.
Fitted a trans cooler. BM Supercooler
New alternator
New door seals fitted.
Updated to a VY Coil pack and DFI, Bosh leads and iridium plugs.
Replaced a few more sensors, IAC, MAF, 02, MAT
New exhaust, cat and CAI on the way.

Gotta pull the cluster out and replace the gears for odometer as that just stopped working.
