Are you able to swivel the tweeters so they are pointed towards your head? They will sound better if you can.

What subs are you running?

it doesn't really matter what subs I'm running :p

Who told you that crap mate. I like the door look and I reckon it will look mint once you finish it all but that idea about cone area is stupid. If cone area is everything then how can I hear my car alarm which has about a 1 inch speaker over my two 12-inch subs?

no one told me that, I'm telling you!

and why on earth are you now bringing a car alarm into it? lol

we are talking about midwoofers here, not a piezo siren :banstick:

I was simply trying to explain in simple terms how much cone area up front I would need to have any hope of keeping up with my subs, how does that have anything to do with a car alarm? :hmmm:

it clears by about 1mm, and the crossovers only just clear the door jamb at the other end by about 1mm as well :p

the crossovers form the door handle, so you can close the door, there's an 18mm gap behind the crossovers to put your fingers in.

You can tell me all you want but it doesn't make it true. By your cone area theory a 50 watt 6" speaker will be just as loud as a 200 watt 6" speaker since they both have the same cone area and all.
