Grandpa Spec VC. Need help

Hi all new to forum, looking for help to make a connection with this decal.
Original 65k Nov 1980 VC original colour, numbers matching, as delivered, unrestored commodore with strange (local dealer???) decal on front 1/4 panel.
Any ideas???

Does it have the dealer sticker on the back windows or rego plate surrounds?

No, has a Peter Brock and John Harvey sticker, so that doesnt help much.
Not to much special about the spec level apart from a few subtle additions including bottom mount spoiler lip (small), decals. Stupid wheels added by last owner though

Probably dealer, owner or panel beater added I'd say, I don't recall that motif being specific to VC or any Commodore for that matter.

The stripe down the side is an aftermarket stripe put on at the dealers by a local stripe guy. Probably thought the little motifs added some flair.

Don't know about anyone else but the thin stripe along the side makes a huge difference in my opinion, it tends to break up the large plain area and give it a much better slightly refined look without over doing it. My wife's white slab sided F..rd Capri had a fine red stripe along the side like this one and it made the car look completely different and better looking than the rest of the herd.
